In episode 215 of Total Retail Talks, Executive Editor Joe Keenan speaks with Kim Audan, vice president, digital commerce, and Keir McIntyre, senior director, direct-to-customer technology, both of Eileen Fisher, a founder-led women's clothing brand that's also a B Corporation. Listen in as Audan and McIntyre discuss how an omnichannel order management system (OMS) is helping Eileen Fisher outperform its peers by providing consolidated inventory visibility and order orchestration. The fashion brand rolled out the solution in phases, starting with the inventory system and completing the ship-from-store program; the send-from-anywhere seamless point-of-sale experience; and buy online, pick up in-store. This managed rollout allowed Eileen Fisher associates to learn about the new technology and get excited about its capabilities, while also enabling the brand's operations team to troubleshoot before going live. Audan and McIntyre share examples of how the OMS has transformed Eileen Fisher's order fulfillment processes, as well as future plans to continue improving the system to ensure great customer experiences online and in-store. They also discuss the primary business benefits Eileen Fisher has realized since implementing an omnichannel OMS.
