Why Uniqlo Chose A Forever 21 Veteran To Lead Its U.S. Business

Since 2011, Uniqlo, described as the "anti fast-fashion retailer," has committed to international expansion, with a particular interest in setting up shop in the U.S. So why did it name quintessential fast-fashion retailer, Forever 21's Larry Meyer, CEO of Uniqlo USA? Forbes reports on why the choice was made as well as Meyer's plans for Uniqlo.
"If you look at a lot of these [retailers], they are supply chain, operationally driven businesses," Matthew Berglass, president of executive retail search firm Berglass+Associates, told Forbes.com. And much of their strength is tied to "their ability to get product in front of consumers [fast]."
