Target has launched a new beauty line, Nip + Fab, from U.K. beauty expert Maria Hatzistefanis. The collection is available exclusively at Target. The line includes 14 products designed to target specific beauty concerns such as anti-aging, eye brightening, skin plumping and cellulite smoothing.

RadioShack Q3 profit falls, misses Street

Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack Corp. reported Tuesday that profit for the quarter ended Sept. 30 plummeted to $300,000, compared with earnings of $46 million in the year-ago period. The retailer cited the transition from T-Mobile offerings to Verizon Wireless as a major reason for the performance decline, although that was offset somewhat by new mobile service and sales centers in Target stores. The company launched Verizon Wireless in more than 4,400 stores on Sept. 15, as well as ramped up its Target Mobile centers rollout in the same period. Marshalls, T.J. Maxx Offer In-Season Bargains

In a rare interview, TJX CEO Carol Meyrowitz explained how conventional wisdom is wrong when it comes to T.J. Maxx and Marshalls. Meyrowitz says 85 percent of what the stores sell is from the same season and same year it was designed for, and 85 percent is purchased directly from manufacturers. Much is identical to what the brands sell in department stores, she insists.

Target confirmed that its website crashed for the second time in six weeks on Oct. 25, going down at approximately 12:50 p.m. EDT and then coming back up two hours later. Target.com also crashed on Sept. 13, after the retailer’s online introduction of its new line of Missoni apparel and items.

Target is facing new holiday pricing pressure as Walmart announced the launch of its Christmas price guarantee. Customers who purchase eligible products at Walmart anytime between Nov. 1 and Dec. 25, and then find those same products advertised for less at another store, will receive a Walmart gift card for the difference through Dec. 25. Canadian Tire rolls out new auto store

Montreal -- A Thursday report in the Montreal Gazette said that Canadian Tire Corp. unveiled a new prototype on Wednesday in Bowmanville, Ontario, east of Toronto. The new store is 40% larger than a typical in-store automotive department and features a service area with a drive-in reception, a new auto detailing bay and a sound booth for customers to test in-car audio entertainment systems, GPS and car safety electronics. Target's Online President Leaves After Site Crash

Target said Online President Steve Eastman has left the company, one month after the retailer’s website crashed from overwhelming demand for new designer apparel. Eastman left the company to “pursue other opportunities,” Target said in a statement. Target did not name a replacement in the press release.
