Macy's Rolls Out Store-to-Door Program to 290 Locations

Following a successful 23-store launch, Macy's will expand its Store-to-Door program throughout 290 store locations by the fall, according to a recent call with financial analysts. This program allows Macy's to be able to ship from a different store to the customer directly if an item is not in stock.

Wal-Mart, Office Depot and Macyโ€™s were the only three retailers listed among the National Association for Female Executivesโ€™ (NAFE) list of the Top 50 Companies for Executive Women. According to NAFE, women represent 53 percent of the employees at these companies, on average. Women make up 23 percent of the board of directors at the NAFE Top 50 vs. 16 percent of the boards of companies in the Fortune 500. In addition, women comprise 22 percent of the executive level at companies in the NAFE Top 50 vs. 14 percent across Fortune 500 companies.

Reardon Elevated to CMO at Macy's

Macy's has tapped Martine Reardon as its new chief marketing officer. The announcement comes amid a series of senior executive moves at the retailer, prompted by the retirement of Ron Klein, Macy's chief stores officer. Peter Sachse, who was named Macy's first chief marketing officer in 2003, will take Klein's place.

In L2's new study, Prestige 100 Mobile IQ, the most recognizable brands were measured across 250 parameters, including their mobile sites, apps, marketing approaches and innovation.
