Nordstrom Pilots Texting Program for Pickup of Online Orders

Nordstrom is testing curbside pickup for online orders at several stores across the country, including the retailer's downtown Nordstrom flagship store. Customers have had the option to select in-store pickup when buying online since 2008. Now customers at the test location can choose the option of calling or texting as they near the store. A store employee will run the purchase outside so the customer never has to leave his or her car.

Lowe’s Halts Sale of Laminate After Report Alleging Similar Issue to Lumber Liquidators

The Chinese hedge fund analyst who played a key role in revealing the problems with China-sourced laminates sold at hardwood retailer Lumber Liquidators said Friday that company isn't the only one selling products that may be hazardous to human health. Xuhua Zhou, whose coverage of Lumber Liquidators was one of the catalysts that spurred "60 Minutes" into investigating whether laminates sold there contained higher-than-acceptable levels of formaldehyde, a known carcinogenic, said Friday that Lowe's may have had similar issues.
