Our team found that the myriad of attributes respondents used to describe the dress differed vastly from the manufacturer-defined attributes that most online shops use to merchandize products. This spotlights an obvious disconnect between how consumers want to shop vs. how they're made to shop on a retail website. There are great advantages for retailers who can capture this natural shopper language and decision-making criteria and integrate them with merchandising and SEO strategies.
