Thursday Reigns King as Most Popular Day for Sending Emails
According to a review of emails received by Who's Mailing What! (WMW!) from June 2013 through May 2014, Thursday is the most popular day for sending emails, with Tuesday a close second.
Nearly 84 percent of emails during this time frame were received on a weekday, with the weekend seeing a lighter send to prospects’ inboxes (21,101 emails received on Saturday and 22,582 emails received on Sunday).
Not surprising, retailers dominated the inbox all week long, as many companies send multiple emails daily for their various brands/titles. WMW! received more than 3,500 emails from Gap and its brands Banana Republic and Old Navy.
