Stop & Shop recently revealed plans to consolidate two of its divisions — the Stop & Shop New England and Metro New York divisions are combining as a single organization. Under this brand will be Fresh Formats LLC/bfresh and the supermarket chain has appointed Dean Wilkinson to lead that division.
Wilkinson began his retail career of more than two decades as a customer service director at Stop & Shop and rose to district manager before becoming a regional VP at the Giant Landover division, where he also held the roles of director nonfoods and divisional VP sales, merchandising and marketing. In 2015, Wilkinson joined the Ahold USA organization as SVP, store strategy and execution.
In other executive moves, Scott Miller, interim SVP of operations at Fresh Formats, has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities, and Glenn Hogan, currently VP of regional operations for the Stop & Shop New England division, join Ahold USA to succeed Wilkinson in the store strategy and execution role on an interim basis.
