Revolve Group Opens First Store Following Pop-Up Shop Success
Revolve Group (RVLV), the next-generation fashion retailer for millennial and Gen Z consumers, last week announced the opening of its first ever permanent physical retail location in Aspen, Colorado. This decision follows the success of the REVOLVE and FWRD Pop-Up shopping experience that opened in the same location in December. Located in Aspen's shopping district, the new store is designed to offer an immersive shopping experience that reflects the luxurious and trendy ethos of both the REVOLVE and FWRD collections. The store will feature a selection of apparel, footwear and accessories as well as in-store shopping events and trunk shows from REVOLVE and FWRD's curated roster of brands.
Total Retail's Take: Revolve Group's decision to open its first brick-and-mortar store following a successful pop-up shop launch in the same location emphasizes what many other e-commerce companies have discovered: the value that pop-up shops can offer digital-native brands. These temporary storefronts enable physical connection to local customers and test the feasibility of permanent stores in select markets. And of course at a lower cost than a traditional store lease. The decision to open a permanent store in Aspen is part of REVOLVE's broader strategy to blend online and offline experiences, providing customers with more touchpoints to interact with the brand. It's a playbook not unique to REVOLVE.
