PetSmart has named Joshua Kantar its new chief marketing officer. In his new role Kantar will oversee all aspects of PetSmart’s brand marketing, digital, media and creative. Prior to PetSmart, Kantar worked as vice president of marketing and customer experience for Viking Cruises, as well as senior vice president of marketing at Caesars Entertainment.
“Joshua is a highly experienced executive with a proven track record of building successful consumer-facing brands,” said Raymond Svider, executive chairman, PetSmart, which operates some 1,600 stores, in a statement to Chain Store Age. “We continue to position the business for success as the leading brick-and-mortar and online company in pet specialty retail, and we're confident Joshua is the right leader to support our unique mission and brand.”
