User Experience
I installed Walgreens’ Passbook app and then proceeded to setup. I tried to log in with my walgreens.com login credentials, but I got a "contact customer service" error.
That's when I gave up on Passbook and decided to compare this experience with the stand-alone Walgreens mobile application. Downloading and installing it was a breeze, and my walgreens.com credentials worked just fine. However, when I tried to use it at a Walgreens store, the on-site scanner was unable to read my rewards number. The cashier was very patient and we tried to scan from several different angles, to no success. Finally I opened my wallet and used my Walgreens plastic rewards card.
