The process involves identifying substandard performance and its root causes, brainstorming solutions, and developing remedial action plans. No doubt, your intention in these cases is to lift sub-standard performance to an acceptable level. This is a good way to solve a specific problem, but it doesn’t lead to dramatic innovation and change.
