In other research, SmartBear has found that a one-second increase in load time could cause a 16 percent drop in customer satisfaction and a 7 percent loss in conversions. All of this translates into less revenue for an online retailer over the course of the year. So as 2013 kicks off, I encourage you to keep site availability and response times at the forefront.
