Peter Cobb Joins DSW's Board of Directors

DSW Inc. has appointed Peter Cobb to its board of directors. Cobb will serve on the company’s nominating and corporate governance and technology committees.

Cobb co-founded eBags in 1998, which grew to become the largest e-commerce website for luggage, handbags, backpacks and travel products, and was subsequently acquired by travel leader Samsonite in 2017. Prior to co-founding eBags, Cobb served as director of marketing at Samsonite for over six years. Before joining Samsonite, Cobb served in that same position for Ben Hogan Golf.

“Peter is a technology entrepreneur who has launched successful direct-to-consumer platforms in the last 20 years,” said Jay Schottenstein, chairman of DSW's board of directors. “Peter's experience building business infrastructures that serve changing customer expectations will provide meaningful insight to support DSW's continued growth and innovation."
