Lyons first worked at NAPCO Media from 1986-1991 as associate publisher on Printing Impressions Magazine before leaving to launch Printer's Periscope, the first B-to-B online media company in the world. Printer's Periscope was later sold to Reed Elsevier, where Lyons rose to the role of group publisher. A serial entrepreneur, Lyons started Lyons Media in 2008 with two B-to-B magazines — Package Design Magazine and RFID Product News Magazine — that were later sold to ST Media Group. Recruited by Eastman Kodak in 2010, Lyons served in various roles in its worldwide marketing organization.
