Amazon Sellers Told to Migrate to New Platform

Amazon.com sellers (both Individual and Pro) listen up: You have until Aug. 28 to migrate over to the new SOA platform or Amazon will do it for you. In a letter sent to sellers on July 26, Amazon explains that sellers’ products will remain buyable and all ratings, reviews, feedback, listings, inventory, existing disbursement options, etc. will stay the same.

Total Retail’s Take: The new platform gives sellers advantages, like the ability to offer free and combined shipping. This evens the playing field for all merchants that sell on Amazon. Everyone is able to offer the same thing for the same price. The only thing I warn: Review your shipping settings after you migrate. Retailers will want to take full advantage of the new shipping options the SOA platform offers.
