A Message of Thanks
This month I want to introduce two of my colleagues who help bring you Catalog Success each month. The timing couldn’t be better since we recently announced a promotion for one of them.
Jennifer DiPasquale has been named our publisher, from associate publisher. Many of you have met Jen at trade shows and other events. She has been with the publication since its founding in 1998. She is a smart, friendly — and funny! — professional who has worked tirelessly during the past few years to guide this publication through its various growth stages. I congratulate her on a well-deserved promotion.
Be assured that Peggy Hatch, vice president and group publisher, is still very much a part of our leadership team. Both Peggy and Jen have been instrumental in the growth of Catalog Success. More Good News
Please forgive me as I use a bit of space here to boast a bit more, but we have some additional good news that I wanted to share with you. Many of you may recall that Catalog Success is a spinoff of Target Marketing magazine, a leading trade publication for direct marketers. With this issue, we announce another spinoff: FundRaising Success is a new magazine that extends our brand of how-to publications to the non-profit world. It’s scheduled to launch in November.
This addition to our magazine family — which also includes the monthly newsletter Inside Direct Mail and the weekly e-newsletter, TM Tipline — demonstrates that in this difficult economy, there remains a pressing need for information on proven targeted marketing techniques. And we’re thrilled to be able to offer content to such a wide range of professionals, including catalogers and other direct marketers and now charitable organizations.
I’m aware that discussing our behind-the-scenes news in this way breaks a cardinal rule in marketing: Tell the readers what’s in it for them. To be honest, this is really a thank-you letter, because without the support of our valued readers and advertisers, we would not be able to grow our brand in this way.
So thank you for all of the letters and kind words of support, and for subscribing and resubscribing to our publications year after year. Be assured that we remain firmly committed to helping each of you grow your brand in the same way you’re helping us grow ours.
