u honesty. Economaki notes that while the business faced difficulties, he tried to be completely honest with his customers. Since many of the tools in the catalog are made to order, he let his customers know to expect delays in the months following Sept. 11.
His definition of success: creating a long-lasting, quality product. Economaki believes a good tool, through its manufacture and appearance, should inspire someone to do his best work even when he’s not using it. He tries to impart this mantra to prospects and core customers. “The joy of something well-made is an important thing,” he says.
