3. Keep tabs on your mobile redirects. Pattern-based mobile redirects, the kind often used by retail sites, are fragile by nature. Unless desktop and mobile sites use a completely mirrored URL syntax, minor changes to URL patterns on desktop or mobile page URLs can result in inadvertent redirect errors. In addition, sites that don't have equivalent mobile page content for 100 percent of their desktop pages will always face the likelihood that some desktop page URLs are redirecting to irrelevant mobile locations. Implement technology that can proactively monitor key pages for mobile redirect errors and irrelevant results so you can respond before any downgrades occur in search engines.
