SDM appoints president, chief executive officer

TORONTO – Canadian retailer Shoppers Drug Mart Corp. (SDM) announced that Domenic Pilla has been appointed president, chief executive officer and a director of the company effective November 1. Pilla brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience in the health care and retailing sectors, most recently as president of McKesson Canada, the Canadian unit of McKesson Corp. Holger Kluge, chairman of Shoppers Drug Mart, said, "We are delighted that Domenic is joining us. His valuable experience in delivering health care services and solutions to a broad range of health care providers, ranging from pharmacies to hospitals, as well as
