The papal visit is adding up to more trouble for bankrupt A&P. The grocery store chain delayed the auction of its stores by a week, to Oct. 1 and 2, citing “potential logistical complications arising from Pope Francis’ scheduled visit to New York later this month,” according to a court filing. Originally set for Sept. 24 and 25 — when Pope Francis will be in town — the auction will take place at the offices of the grocer’s law firm, Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
