New York Postpones Wal-Mart Hearing

The New York City Council has postponed its oversight hearing on Wal-Mart until Feb. 3 because of the snowstorm that hit the city this week. Wal-Mart Stores said it's launched walmartnyc.com, a website promoting its entry into New York City. The council had been scheduled to discuss Wal-Mart's planned entry into the city at the meeting, which had already been postponed once before. As previously reported, Wal-Mart, which said it would not attend the meeting, had launched a publicity campaign promoting its stores earlier this week.
