Online shopping makes up more than half of surveyed shoppers’ purchases, according to a new report from shipper UPS and researcher ComScore. The companies’ fifth annual survey of e-commerce shoppers — individuals who made at least two online purchases in a typical three-month period — found 51 percent of their purchases were made online (excluding grocery shopping), an increase from 48 percent of shoppers in 2015 and 47 percent in 2014. An estimated 40 percent made at least four to six purchases online, while another 40 percent made seven or more.
