GNC Dietary Supplements Contained Illegal Drugs, Lawsuit Alleges

The top prosecutor in Oregon took aim at GNC, the nation's largest vitamin and supplement retailer, accusing the Pittsburgh-based company of knowingly selling workout and fat-burning supplements spiked with illegal drugs.

GNC, which this year settled with New York's attorney general over claims that its dietary supplements were impure, said the latest accusations are “without merit.”
