The Fresh Market has agreed to be acquired by an affiliate of private equity firm Apollo Global Management for $1.36 billion, the companies said on Monday. Under the terms of the deal, Apollo-affiliated funds will pay $28.50 per share in cash for the grocer, which represents a 24 percent premium over Friday’s closing price and a 53 percent premium from before speculation regarding a deal first surfaced.
