Family Dollar Ramps Up Expansion Plans

Matthews, N.C.-based Family Dollar Stores Inc. plans to add 300 new stores in 2011 and begin an aggressive plan to remodel its existing stores, according to WSJ.com. "We thought that the rapid store growth was really hurting our core performance," said James Kelly, president and COO for Family Dollar. "Now we’re ready."
