Barnes & Noble launches its self-publishing platform

Barnes & Noble said this week that it has gone live with Pubit, its platform that allows self-published authors and independent publishing houses to sell digital versions of their works on the bookstore's websites. The platform competes with Amazon's Digital Text Platform and Sony's Reader Store.
