Avon Slips 5% Premarket On Disappointing Results

BOSTON -- Avon Products Inc. said Thursday that its third-quarter profit rose 7% to $166.7 million, or 38 cents a share, from $156.2 million, or 36 cents a share, in the year-earlier period.
