LOS ANGELES - Clothing chain American Apparel said Thursday that revenue in stores open at least a year jumped 19 percent in May compared with a year before, helped by improvements in store productivity. Revenue at stores open at least a year is an important measure of a retailer's health, because it excludes the impact of newly opened or closed stores.
