Houston -- Stage Stores said Thursday that its president and CEO Andy Hall has resigned to pursue other interests, and will be replaced in the interim by Michael Glazer, a member of the company's board since 2001. Glazer is currently the president and CEO at Mattress Giant Corp., based in Addison, Texas. He previously served as managing director of Team Neu, a private equity firm, and he was also president and CEO of KB Toys Inc. Stage Stores said it has already begun the search for a permanent CEO and the candidates will include Glazer.

eBay's iPad app now highlights products based on what you are watching E-commerce giant eBay has added a new feature to its iPad app, which allows users to shop for products based on what they are watching on TV. On logging into the “Watch with eBay” tab, users are invited to enter in their zip code, cable provider, TV channel and the program they are currently watching. Best Buy had targeted to launch 200 stores in Europe Following 18 months of "challenging economic conditions," Carphone Warehouse has decided to close all 11 Best Buy electronics stores across the UK. The phone retailer joined forces with Best Buy in 2008, when Best Buy paid £1.1 billion, for a 50% stake in the retailer. Carphone Warehouse helped to establish Best Buy Europe, and the group was hoping to eventually have 200 big-box stores across the continent. The first store opened in Thurrock, Essex in April 2010, and stores followed in Liverpool, Derby, Bristol, Nottingham, Rotherham, Dudley and Southampton.
WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark outlined succession plans for its pharmacy benefit management business as EVP and COO Jon Roberts will assume the role of president of the PBM business, effective Sept. 1. During the company's analyst meeting in December 2011, Per Lofberg, PBM president, announced his intention to extend his employment agreement with CVS Caremark through December 2013, as previously reported by Drug Store News. The National Football League is preparing to throw open the doors to its huge pop-up store on Sixth Avenue and 41st Street in New York City. The store, the league's first-ever pop-up venue in New York, is timed with the NFL Draft, to be held April 26 just blocks away at Radio City Music Hall.
