A subsidiary of Staples now controls about 92% of the shares in Corporate Express Australia and the office supply chain said Monday that the acquisition would be completed later this summer.In March, Staples Australia offered $5.60 per share, or more than $350 million, for outstanding shares of the company. eBay announced international releases of its "eBay Selling" and "eBay for iPad" mobile applications. More than 450,000 people filed new claims for unemployment benefits last week, as joblessness continued to hamper the U.S. economy and other new economic indicators reflected mixed signs about the recovery. Linens & More for Less, a new retailer based in Brookfield, Ohio, is set to debut its first store on July 23 in Warren, Ohio, according to the Dayton Business Journal. Fred Mershad, the former CEO of Elder-Beerman Stores Co., will serve as the companys CEO.
