Sally Beauty Holdings said Thursday it recorded net income of $41.1 million in the third quarter, up 30.6% from the year-ago period. Jones Apparel Group said Wednesday that its second-quarter profit almost doubled to $24.5 million from $12.6 million a year earlier.
