C. Wonder makes retail debut

New York City -- A new concept, C. Wonder, has made its retail debut, opening a 5,000-sq.-ft. store in Manhattanโ€™s SoHo neighborhood. The company is on track to open three mall locations this fall: Garden State Plaza, Paramus, N.J.; The Westchester Mall, White Plains, N.Y.; and Roosevelt Field, Garden City, N.J. An additional 20 locations are planned for 2012, according to various reports. C. Designed to look like an actual permit to "hunt illegal aliens," immigration rights activist Victor Hoelscher, along with hundreds of others, petitioned CafePress to get the items removed.

Dots to Debut New York Store

Glenwillow, Ohio-based fast-fashion retailer Dots LLC will open a new flagship store in Bronx, N.Y., on Nov. 10. The new store will be located within the Bay Plaza Shopping Center. In addition to this location, Dots plans to open 45 new locations and remodel 70 existing locations in 2012. Currently, the company operates more than 400 stores in 28 states. Apple to Provide Self-Checkout Via App

Apple is launching an update to its retail store iOS app to allow consumers to use self-checkout to buy accessories and other shelf-stocked items at the company's retail stores. According to MacRumors, self-checkout purchases will be charged via the Apple Store app to the customer's iTunes Store account. The platform should be ready by Nov. 3.

NBA Lockout Not Good for Sneaker Sales
