Animal Shelter Names Dog L.L.Bean, Gets Adopted by L.L.Bean Employee

A homeless dog in Wisconsin named L.L.Bean has found a new home in Maine, thanks to the company he's named after. The Dunn County Humane Society in Wisconsin received a call from an employee at L.L.Bean's Freeport headquarters after a local TV station ran a story featuring an 80-pound Coonhound named L.L.Bean that had been in the shelter for more than a year.

Rite Aid to unveil 3-D holographic display kiosks

Chatsworth, Calif. โ€” Rite Aid is planning to roll out 3-D holographic display kiosks in its stores next year, according to the kiosks' manufacturer. In a letter to shareholders, Provision Interactive Technologies president and CEO Curt Thornton wrote that it would place its 3-D Reward Centers in Rite Aid stores, starting with 200 locations and, according to the agreement between the two companies, eventually installing the kiosks in up to 4,800 stores. Bed Bath & Beyond Q3 profit rises 28%

Union, N.J. -- Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. reported Wednesday that profit for the quarter ended Nov. 26 rose 28% to $228.5 million, compared with $188.6 million in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 6.8% to $2.3 billion, from $2.2 billion a year earlier. Same-store sales increased 4.1%. During the quarter, the company opened seven Bed Bath & Beyond stores, seven Buybuy Baby stores, one Christmas Tree Shops store and one Harmon Face Values store.
