REI Revamps Sustainable Packaging Work and Goals

REI plans to do this by reducing overall REI-brand packaging by 25 percent by the end of 2013. According to a report by Heritage Pioneer, a sustainable packaging solutions provider, REI is making great strides toward its goal. It has: The company also plans to eliminate all plastic laminates, use lighter paperboard stock, and redesign shipping cartons for greater efficiency and reuse.
