Online spending on December 13 reached $954 million, a 12 percent increase versus last year, according to research firm ComScore. Called Green Monday (the second Monday in December when online spending has historically tended to peak), it ranked as the second heaviest online spending day on record behind this year's Cyber Monday. ComScore also said it expects this week to be the heaviest online shopping week of the season.
