Fifty-five percent of consumers rated their online holiday shopping experience as “good,” equivalent to a “B” grade, according to the Baynote Holiday Online Shopping Experience Survey. Twenty-three percent said they had an excellent experience and 17.6 percent said it was just average. Compared to last year, 51 percent of shoppers said their experience was the same compared to 46 percent who said it improved.

Sherwin-Williams plans to launch "HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams," an exclusive line of interior paint and painting supplies in the second quarter of 2011. The licensing partnership includes eight color collections, each containing 20 coordinating colors; and branded tools including brushes, paint rollers, tape, gloves, and drop cloths. Lowe's said that Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer Steven Stone is leaving the company in order to pursue other interests. Lowe’s has named Michael Brown, executive vice president of store operations and Lowes.com, as Stone’s successor. Brown will report to chairman and CEO Robert Niblock.
Indianapolis-based hhgregg Inc. expects to enter the Pittsburgh, Chicago and Miami markets in 2011.
